Regional Medicare restrictions on physician-administered IV Orencia (abatacept) instituted by CGS threaten continuity of care and strip patients of vital treatment pathways. With Part D shifts already curtailing subcutaneous access, restricting Part B IV Orencia leaves our most vulnerable patients without access to abatacept in any form. Luckily, CMS and Congress can intervene to reverse this misguided policy.
